I realize I haven’t updated for a couple of weeks.
Dinged 40 on Chillhunter. Tried Advanced Prototype and several hybrids. The damage was less, and significantly less bursty. The additional utility was not really noticeable. So I am back to my pyro spec.
Also, I tried pyro’s 31-point talent, thermal detonator. It was ok, but not really worth going out of my way for. Looks like I am going 8-6-27.
We recorded episode 61 yesterday.
After I leveled my Powertech a bit, getting to the end of Dromund Kaas and getting her ship. She indeed does feel a lot like leveling my first vanguard toon during combat.
I also did PVP on Chilldark, getting one win in three. It still felt like the PVP squads were out in force–or perhaps I am still readjusting to my level 50 start-over gearwise.
Paradroid took on hard mode EC and TFB. But our regulars weren’t all there, and the replacement just didn’t have the numbers so we could beat the enrage timer. It still managed to be fun.
I leveled my operative Chillfire to 23 and got her through Nar Shaddaa. Like the scoundrel healer who is about 30 or so, the abilities and talents are just starting to come together.
My marauder is now 38 and I am enjoying her a lot. She will be off to Hoth next. I did a fair bit of PVP with her as well. She’s got almost a whole row of 49-level PVP boxes to open when she dings.
Paradroid took out the story mode missions for BH coms.
Later I did a fair bit of PVP with guildies. We got a couple of HG and won both.
Finally I spent a ton of credits (well over 500,000) and bought five ship upgrades. After one failure, I then took out the station hard mode space mission. Great fun!
Teo, Hyp, Ry and I did Athiss with little difficulty, though two levels below the mobs.
Then we did some PVP. I finally got Hypergates once on my Operator healer. It seems like it will be fun, but takes some getting used to.
Busy weekend. My son and I got our inquisitors through Dromund Kaas and to our ships at level 13.
PVP I am trying a new spec on Chillnerve again, this time going up the middle tree. Seems pretty good so far.
On Chilldark I worked the most, getting her almost to level 36 and doing much PVP. Good stuff.
Teo, Hyp, Ryeesa and I did our Empire leveling toons together for the first time. We ran Black Talon twice. We decided to level to 15 to get to Hammer Station for tomorrow. It is interesting being a healer in a flashpoint; I am learning. Black Talon was easy enough that I was able to put in some DPS; I expect that soon that will greatly decrease.
I barely touched my Marauder, but did get her to 30 with space missions.
I also leveled with my son a bit. We are both inquisitors and I will be assassin, he sorcerer.
Paradroid took out the first boss in hard mode EC and is working on the second boss.
I did much PVP, including some with the Ootini Fight Club. We were wiped by Ascendancy twice, then moved to regular WZs and did quite well. I later finished her weekly.
I am trying a new spec on Chillnerve which was suggested by Redna and involves both of the two right trees. It does much AoE and DoT damage, with good burst using Sabotage Charge on cooldown. It is taking some practice to learn properly.
Finally, I leveled Chilldark up to 29. She is done with Alderaan and has a little between-planets deal to do next.
I did two WZs on Chillnerve. They were both so colossally painful that I decided to switch to my marauder. Got all three daily types done.
We recorded episode 55. Should be good.
In addition to a merc, I am also trying a Warrior/Marauder. The warrior worries me a bit, being the opposite of the Jedi Knight which I still haven’t gotten to 50. But I have more presence and more resources now, and the warrior can’t possibly get its healing companion any later than the poor Jedi Knight. Plus I understand the class better now.
