A hodge podge of info

Did Headless Horsemen on all appropriate toons yesterday without gaining anything of note. 

Did Firelands dailies on Chillshot with Teo and Hyp. Warm has all useful gear from those. 

Did most of an arena with Oni doing DK/disc priest. We were rusty and lost a lot, but it was still fun. 

Watched the dance and costume contests from BlizzCon. That is always a treat.  Seemed like the level of costumes was a bit lower, though the winner was way cool. Check it out on YouTube. 

Also looked at the Pandaran talent “trees” on WoWhead. Quite a change, and I’m not sure if it is all for the better.  I think what is missing from my picture is any additional abilities each spec gets that come from talent trees currently. 

Druid/Mage arena

I did arena on Chillpaw (resto druid) with Mike on his frost mage last night. 

We did all right, going 8-8 or so. Our gear is coming together, as is our skill. 

Chillpaw got his 359 dagger, and it is good. I now wait for Power Torrent procs to Innervate, and it gives me 2000 more mana. Nice. 

I also did a slight respec, dropping Efflorescence in favor of improving Rejuvenation.  I also got the third point in Healing Seed. When 4.2 hits and crits are bigger I will likely reforge into crit. 

I also dropped the spirit-into-hit talent in favor of respeccing for hit. Why?  First I was over hit for PVP. Second it was only for spell hit, which leaves feral specials like Skull Bash missing. Third, the bit of spirit I had to drop to get hit was mitigated by the talent I took, which reduced spell costs by a further 3%. 

Quick post

Yesterday was family night, but I did play some. 

I tanked the cloud instance on my pally with Pants on Headers including Teo and Gabe. We rolled through it with little difficulty. It looks like holy priests at this time have fewer mana issues while healing than disc, based on how well Teo was keeping his mana up. He commented that he felt somewhat o/p in that respect. 

With my son we went through Gnomeregan. It has changed some but is still pretty similar to how it was before. He tanked it well, and got the Shield of the Righteous talent. He loves it and its ability to hold group aggro. 

Through that run I dinged twice. Triple exp is still crazy fast. 

I have a four day weekend coming. Much time will be with family, but I hope to push Chillhand to 85 by Sunday so I can start heroics. 

The plan is coming together

My mage is now mostly prepped. 

I spent time while in queues doing quests. He has nine ready to turn in. It was pretty simple. They were all around Storm Peaks, so the exp should be good. I’ll do more if I can.

Next up will be my pally. He got a talent reset. I was disappointed that they changed the healing talent so that heals on yourself no longer proc the bonus heal. Instead my build will be a bit more threat-heavy, which is okay. I was having to go all-out to keep ahead on threat, and this will help.
